BREAKING NEWS...

As of 1 July, 1999, the United Kennel Club has released a statement in the form of an "FAQ" on what will be happening with our breed in the coming months and years. Please read, print out and save this important information for future reference! And don't forget to REGISTER YOUR DOGS!

Attention all breeders, owners and exhibitors of AKC-registered white German Shepherd Dogs...

Effective May 1, 1999, the United Kennel Club has recognized the White Shepherd as a separate pure breed.  In accordance with UKC guidelines, the new Parent Club has been established and is ready to roll.  Our first goal is to build our membership and as such, we are offering a free membership in the new United White Shepherd Club.  We are making such an offer in the hopes of  "growing our membership" as quickly as possible.  We urge you to subscribe to UKC's official magazine, "Bloodlines," in order to keep yourselves apprised of Club advancements and local events in your area -- and as you will discover, they are scheduled nationwide.

The White Shepherd officially enters the UKC Conformation ring as a unique and separate breed on January 1, 2000. To put your UWSC Parent Club membership into effect, please contact: Lucille Jasinski, UWSC Membership Chair - TEL: (248) 652-2311.

You can register your White Shepherds with UKC by writing to: United Kennel Club, 100 E. Kilgore Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49002-5584  TEL: (616) 343-9020. Applications for registration can also be downloaded from the UKC web site.
